We love this book! It has completely simplified the concept of Roman numerals for us. It tells the history of how the symbols came to be and provides a hands on introduction to a mathematical language we were unfamiliar with. Not to mention, it has adorable illustrations too...they remind me of the old Schoolhouse Rock cartoons.
We are now noticing (and reading) these ancient symbols everywhere...on our cuckoo clock...in our chapter books. They keep popping up in our drawings too!
